Why Tool Room Capability Matters in Mould Manufacturing
A mould is not finished when the machining is done. Cores, cavities, plates, ejector systems and cooling circuits must be fitted, assembled and proven — and that is the work of the tool room.
Tool room craft is where accuracy becomes reality. Bedding parting lines, fitting slides and lifters, timing ejection and polishing cavities all decide whether a mould runs cleanly or fights its operator on every shift.
The tool room’s role continues after delivery. Moulds in production need cleaning, wear-part replacement and occasional repair. A manufacturer with its own tool room can support the tooling it builds throughout its working life.
